The aftermath was grim. Twenty-one people lost their lives, and many more were injured. The flood also caused ruin to property, leaving a trail of sweet devastation in its wake.

Residents are left scratching their heads/wondering more info what's happening/extremely frustrated. Theories range from/span/abound from alien slime, but the truth remains a mystery. The city/Officials/Local authorities are working to clean up/contain/investigate the sticky situation, but until then, Boston is left navigating/scrambling/dealing with this sticky/treacherous/tacky predicament.
